Black History Month started in 1926 as a week, and now it has been expanded into a whole month! Take a moment to educate yourself by reviewing Black History resources through vocabulary, supporting articles, and videos.

Furloughed Workers May Lose FMLA Eligibility
by Allen Smith, J.D.

Furloughs due to the COVID-19 pandemic have resulted in some workers losing eligibility to take Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) time off. But these employees may be protected by other laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or state laws.

To be eligible to take leave under the FMLA, an employee must, among other things, work 1,250 hours during the 12 months prior to the start of leave.

Dare to Lead™- Having Brave Conversations When it Matters Most

Tuesday, March 9, 2021 | 11:50 AM – 1 PM
With Amy Leneker

What would happen if we chose courage over comfort and had brave conversations? How would that change our teams and organizations? In this fun and informative workshop, we will explore what it means to have a brave conversation and how we can use the four skills of courage to help.

This workshop is based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown and her best-selling book, Dare to Lead. The content is especially targeted for the current HR environment where HR leaders are navigating uncertainty and daring leadership is needed now more than ever!
