Presentation Description:

How do you know where to start your D&I initiative? Not an easy question to answer because no industry guidelines have existed. Now, this void has been filled! The Global Diversity and Inclusion Benchmarks: Standards for Organizations Around the World (GDIB) is now available, without cost, for organizations to use to determine strategy and measure progress in managing diversity and fostering inclusion. Developed by Julie O'Mara and Alan Richter, Ph.D., well-regarded D&I consultants and authors, with a panel of 99 D&I experts worldwide, the downloadable tool addresses 14 categories of D&I work with five levels of benchmarks. This session offers participants hands-on learning methods to become familiar with the GDIB, interactive dialogue with their colleagues about how to apply the tool in their organizations, and some recommended change management techniques as a means to advance from one benchmark level to another.

  1. The program will include foundational information on the Global Diversity and Inclusion Benchmarks (GDIB) as a guide for D&I initiatives.
  2. The program will provide guidance on using the Global Diversity and Inclusion Benchmarks (GDIB) as a guide for implementing and assessing progress in participants’ D&I work.
  3. The program will introduce change management techniques for using the Global Diversity and Inclusion Benchmarks (GDIB), with examples about how Archbright has done so.

Learning Objectives:

  • Become familiar with the Global Diversity and Inclusion Benchmarks (GDIB) as a for implementing and assessing progress in your D&I work in your organization.
  • Learn how to use selected change management techniques as a means to advance your organization to higher levels of D&I.
