Presentation Description:
We all know culture is huge! Yet the facts don’t lie. Most people don’t feel their workplace cultures are helping them or their organizations thrive. Most of the reasons why are because we still don’t fully understand how to “do” culture. This talk will teach you all the foundations of great culture.
Plus, you’ll learn how to measure it and make real change and progress. Includes individual and group activities to reinforce learning and a culture self-assessment so you’ll walk away with a simple, effective, executable plan use can start using the same day.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn more about what workplace culture is
- Learn what the cores of culture are (clarity, leadership and teamwork) and how to intentionally develop and leverage them
- Assess your own culture and start to build a plan to evolve your own organization’s culture
Speaker Bio:
I am on a mission to help organizations and the people within them flourish. Specifically, by building awesome workplace cultures through honing clarity, building super people managers and highly cohesive teams. I am an author of a book called Super Manager: How to Unlock People and Organizational Performance and Potential through Great People Leadership. I have my Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga and my Bachelors in Political Science from UW. I’ve been a manager in a wide variety of size and type organizations ranging from Fortune 500s to a small independently owned franchise and even the military. Most importantly I’m a husband to my wife Brittney and father of 2 awesome boys, JC and Luke, and we live in Auburn.

Waiting List:
If the registration deadline has passed, you are welcome to arrive at the venue at 11:00 a.m. and enter your name on the waiting list. We will accommodate walk-ins whenever space is available. The onsite registration fee is $55 for LWHRA members and $70 for non-members. Note that only the regular meal is available to walk-ins, and the fee must be paid on site.
Refund Policy:
LWHRA sets its registration fees as low as possible in order to make educational opportunities widely available. We will gladly issue refunds for event registrations that are canceled before the registration deadline. Because we need to make venue arrangements and order refreshments in advance, we are unable to refund registration fees after the deadline. No-shows who have registered but not paid in advance will be billed. Substitutions are always welcome. Please request your substitute to inform the registration desk that they are attending in your place.
