The LWHRA Workforce Readiness Committee conducts workshops in and around the community to teach the skills and provide the skills needed to obtain living wage jobs.

The 2018 Goals of the Workforce Readiness Committee are:

  • Connect – Explore opportunities within our community:
  • Grow – LWHRA member volunteers have the opportunity to expand their knowledge by presenting relevant topics at events hosted by the Workforce Readiness Committee.
  • Serve -  Providing low-income, disadvantaged or displaced persons with the skills and tools they need to obtain living wage jobs.
    • Transitional housing and non-profits like Hopelink, YWCA Redmond, Goodwill
    • Connect LWHRA members with those in our communities in need.

How You Can Help:

We look for volunteers to help out at special events throughout the year. We post these events on the LWHRA website and newsletter as they become available.

Opportunities include:

  • Participating in rewarding events helping those in need.
  • To meet amazing people who are looking to grow and learn.
  • Recommend opportunities to provide services to colleges, non-profits and transitional housing
